How long has the school been in existence?

The school has been in existence since 1918. It initially operated as Kong Yiong School from Yio Chu Kang and shifted to the current location in 2005. In 2018, the school celebrated its 100th anniversary.

What time does school start and end on regular school days?

All students are to report to school before 7.30am. Students are strongly encouraged to be in school by 7.15am for silent reading.

Curriculum time ends at 2.30pm from Monday to Thursday (except for classes with special timetables).

On Friday, curriculum time ends at 12.30pm.

Does the school provide school bus services?

No, but there are direct bus services to serve the transport needs of our students who live in different parts of Singapore. These services are listed below:

Does your school offer Direct School Admission (DSA)?

Yes, we welcome students with talent in the area of Basketball. As part of the DSA Admission Process, interested students will attend an open house, participate in a friendly basketball game and then sit for an interview session with the CCA teachers and School Leaders.

What Mother Tongue languages are taught in this school?

Yes, the students can take Chinese, Malay and Tamil as their Mother Tongue. Higher Mother Tongue is also offered in these languages for students who meet the academic requirement.

What can the school do for my child if he or she has special needs?

The school has an allied educator and teachers trained to assist students with special needs. They will assess and will provide the necessary support services to the student.
